PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES


The Professional Development/Training Opportunities Bulletin Board is a resource for educators seeking to improve their skills, achieve their goals and help students learn.

Educators To find professional development programs click here.

Providers To post professional development training programs to the bulletin board click here.
We encourage providers to create web pages about their offerings where additional information could be made available. Please visit Related Links for more information about setting up a Web site and for the provider application form.

Purpose
The Professional Development Training/Opportunities Bulletin Board was established in accordance with KRS156.095 (6). All professional development programs sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Education, as well as external providers who voluntarily wish to participate will be identified. Programs will be identified using the Nine Standards and Indicators for School Improvement and program content. Posting information on the bulletin board by the department shall not be viewed as an endorsement of the quality of any specific provider or program. (See Disclaimer)

Professional Development for Teachers
This program is handled through the Division of Instructional Leadership and Support. In addition to the nine standards, referred to above, there are eleven Professional Development Standards, which help to determine quality professional development training opportunities. Effective Instructional Leadership Act Credit
This program is handled through the Division of Instructional Leadership and Support. As indicated above, participation in the bulletin board is voluntary for professional development providers or vendors. It is, however, required for those providers seeking approval for Effective Instructional Leadership Act (EILA) credit.
